Makeup Hacks
-Wet Beauty Blender: I personally prefer to dampen my beauty blender before usage. I find it gives my foundation a more natural appearance. Beware though, it is a sponge, so of course it absorbs some of the product. I personally like this in order to minimize the amount of foundation I actually use.
-Removing Makeup: Sometimes I forget to buy more makeup wipes so I use my facial cleanser to remove my makeup. I love this gentle alternative. I wash my face one time to get the makeup off and then I wash my face again to ensure my face is clean. I know I am makeup less when the foam is no longer the color of my foundation.
-Carmex: It is no secret that the continuous use of lip gloss and lip stick can be extremely drying. Something I have begun doing to combat this is the application of Carmex. I make sure to apply Carmex when I begin my makeup so it has time to moisturize my lips before I put on my lip product.
-Makeup Wipes: On occasion when I do use wipes to take off my makeup wipes I like to use baby wipes. Baby wipes when bought in certain locations, are not too expensive. They also typically contain more wipes than traditional makeup wipes. And they are gentle enough to be used on babies, so they are safe enough for you as well.
-Winged Eyeliner: Winged eyeliner is something that even the best beauty gurus struggle with. Tape makes winged eyeliner a little easier. Placing the tape, as a stencil, where you want the wing to go allows you to trace the tape to get the perfect winged look.
-Color Correcting: This is definitely a new craze, and not without reason of course. Using certain colors from the color wheel helps to cancel imperfections we would want to cover like redness, dark spots, and dark circles. The colors below do in fact work for basically everyone, and obviously the darker your skin tone the more pigmented version of the colors below you will need to use.
Beauty Tips To Improve Confidence
Confidence is something that definitely comes from within, but there are some physical things that can be done to improve your confidence, and I am not just talking about losing weight. These tips are not meant for you to change anything about yourself, but to enhance what you have been given. Appreciating what you have on the inside is just as important as appreciating what you have on the outside.
Drinking water will solve many problems. Drinking a lot of water helps to flush toxins out of your body, improving the condition of your skin as well as your body.
Taking care of your hair and skin can be a confidence booster. Your hair and skin are the some of the first things people notice when they look at you, so when I am taking good care of my hair and skin, I just find myself feeling more confident. The thing to remember when it comes to taking care of your hair and skin is finding products that work best, and using those products to create a successful regimen. In order to have a successful routine, you have to understand your skin. Once you know the kind of skin you have, certain products will work better than others.
Some facial products to try when wanting to improve the condition of your skin: facial scrub, facial cleanser, facial mask, toner, moisturizer with SPF
Some hair products to try when wanting to improve the condition of your hair: shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, oil, hair mask
Makeup can definitely help with your confidence because you can temporarily fix any imperfections or enhance what you do like. It can also help with your attitude. If wearing a red lip makes you feel sassy then try wearing it a little more often.
Changing your style to match your favorite icon can improve your confidence by making you feel like you are walking in their shoes. You can also try changing your style to match what you feel best in. If you feel the best when you wear black dresses, buy more black dresses so you feel confident more often.
And if all else fails, FAKE IT 'TIL YOU MAKE IT
Simple Skin Care Tips
Clean Your Makeup Brushes- Cleaning your makeup brushes minimizes the amount of grime your skin is exposed to. Try using baby shampoo. It is gentle, will leave your brushes crazy soft, and is good for people with sensitive skin.
Minimal Makeup- On days where your skin needs to breathe, and you still want to wear makeup, would recommend wearing mascara and tinted lip balm or lip gloss. These products do not come in contact with your skin and will not clog your pores.
Natural Products- Natural products are more expensive but if nothing else is really working for your skin, I would advise giving natural products a try.
Moisturize- This is a very important part of skin care. Moisturizing your skin should be done year round.
Water- This is not a myth, drinking plenty of water helps clear skin.
Facial Cleansing- The shower is the perfect place to cleanse your face. The steam from the shower opens your pores and will help you have a deeper clean.
Sunscreen- The suns rays are very harmful, and everyone needs protection from them, no matter your skin color.
Clueless Inspired Nail Art
This is one of the best Clueless inspired nail designs that I have seen.
You will need the colors yellow, black, white, and grey. The thumb nails and pinky nails are yellow with a black dot at the base of the nail.
The dot can be achieved by using a dotting tool or the end of a toothpick. The pattern on the ring finger can be attained by using a thin brush and just dragging the brush from one end of the nail to the other.
Start with gray as the base and then draw the black lines and finally include the yellow strip down the middle. Finally, all that has to be done is painting the remaining nails black and then use a thin brush to create the white letters.
Steaming My Face: Review
For those of you out there who don't know what steaming is, it is applying steam to your face to open your pores. If you do not have a machine to steam your face, you can let your face hover over a pot of boiling water.
I decided to do this because I got a whitehead (sorry for the visual), and I read steaming your face helps with white heads.
So I got the steamer, turned it on, and the water began to bubble. Next, I put my face above the heat for about ten minutes. It got really hot after about six minutes, so I stopped after about four more minutes. I then went to shower and exfoliated my face.
Steaming my face helped to open my pores I was able to have a deeper clean when exfoliating. The next day I looked at my pores and they had SIGNIFICANTLY gone down!
My pores were not huge before, so just imagine. Because of how well steaming made my skin look, I have decided to steam my face once a week.
